Our webinars are eligible for IEEE PDH credit. To qualify, you must attend the webinar live and complete the IEEE evaluation we will provide following the event.

This webinar explores utility industry strategies, tactics, and best practices to forecast, mitigate, and respond to environmental risks and liability.

Aging utility infrastructure impacts from extreme weather events, catastrophic wildfires and increased volumes of broadband attachment present a significant threat to the electric grid and public safety. Learn how electric utilities are adopting proactive measures, such as system monitoring, design upgrades and condition assessment to forecast, proactively respond to, and mitigate risks associated with overhead and underground infrastructure.

During the session, you will learn:

  • The drivers leading to an increased focus on reliability and resiliency.
  • Insights into proactive reliability and resiliency infrastructure hardening programs for utility assets.
  • Tactics and strategies to increase reliability and resiliency metrics for electric utilities and other pole owners.
  • Types of utility infrastructure inspections, their value to the utility, and the business case for proactively inspecting utility infrastructure.
  • Methodologies for analyzing and creating a “health index assessment” for utility infrastructure.
  • Tools and techniques for field data collection and analysis, and real-time posting of data monitoring for a collaborative stakeholder environment.
