About the Presenter

Adel Badiee, P.E., is a Senior Lead Engineer at Osmose Utilities Services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Azad University and his master’s degree in Civil-Structural Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Adel is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in five states with over 11 years of work experience. During his works at Osmose, he developed the SteelCalc algorithm for lattice towers and steel poles and helped optimizing the restoration designs in steel transmission structures using FEA software such as Abaqus and Risa-3d. He is currently studying the resiliency of existing transmission steel structures under catastrophic events.
