Concrete Foundation Restoration

Transmission structure foundations can generally be separated into two categories – direct bury or concrete. As with steel, concrete is a very durable material, but it is not completely immune to deterioration caused by long-term exposure to the elements without routine maintenance.


In this Logsys Power Services webinar, we will discuss the following:

  • Types of concrete foundation deterioration and what causes them
  • Methods used to assess the extent of deterioration
  • Restoration options for deteriorated concrete foundations, including a case study exhibiting identification and assessment of a deteriorated foundation, engineering a restoration solution for the foundation, and installation of the restoration

 

About the Presenter

Mark Pitre is an Engineer III at Osmose. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He joined Osmose in 2018 after three years in the highway construction industry where he was involved in some of the largest DOT projects in the southeastern United States. At Osmose, he has worked on many inspection and restoration projects for some of the nation’s largest utilities in various capacities ranging from reviewing inspection data to being Lead Project Engineer. Mark is a NACE-certified Level 1 Coating Inspector and is a member of AISC and ACI.
